 Stabilization of Nanoparticle Suspensions. |
NineSigma, representing a Global Manufacturing Company, invites proposals for technologies to prevent the aggregation of organic nanoparticles in both concentrated and dilute suspensions.
Technologies from a variety of industries, including the pharmaceutical, food, cosmetic, ink, water treatment and coating industries, are strongly encouraged.
The successful technology will:
• Allow an aqueous suspension of concentrated nanoparticles (>25 weight percent) to be prepared (preferred solution). However, solid compositions may be acceptable. The final product must have a shelf-life of at least two years.
• Prevent nanoparticles from aggregating when dispersed at low concentrations (<1.0 weight percent) in water and remain stable for at least 24 hours.
•Be compatible when mixed under dilute conditions with products that may contain nonionic and anionic surfactants.
Technologies should:
•Be mature enough to provide a demonstration
•Have a well-defined intellectual property position.
